We’re almost through the lazy days of Summer. What says Summer? Of course! Flamingos! I’ve been having fun creating this card! This is a terrific stamp set by Stephanie Bernard’s The Stamps of Life. If it looks difficult, don’t fear! It’s much easier to make than it looks! I found an excellent video that describes the process of making this card. These are the following supplies you will need:
- 1 – 12″ x 12″ piece of lightweight card stock
- 1 – 5.5″ square of design paper
- 2 – 5.25″ squares of design paper (one can be the same as the 5 1/2″ Square and another of an alternating pattern)
- 1 – 5.75″ of square of design paper
- 1 – 5.5″ square of card stock (for stamping your sentiment)
For the belly band:
- 1 – 2″ x 12″ strip of card stock
- 1 – 1.75 x 12″ strip of design paper
- 2 large foam adhesive dots or strips
- A large die cut embellishment for the center of the belly band.
The following tools will be helpful:
- A large scoring board and bone folder
- A small tape runner or fast drying glue
There is also a video that explains how to make the envelope for this card due to the special dimensions. To Construct the envelope, you will want to use:
- 1 – 10″ square of Design Paper
- an Envelope Punch Board
